529DOTS AT NATIONALS

Despite injuries and setbacks, John added another 90 lb to his competition total, earned a national record, reached 529 DOTS, and placed in the overall competition.

Balancing military responsibilities with training, John had already progressed from a 1,433 lb total (446 DOTS) to 1,537 lb (504 DOTS). His 2026 Nationals performance was another breakthrough: 529 DOTS, a national record, and another 90 lb on his total despite injuries and setbacks. His performance also earned an overall placing.

“When I started working with Achilles, I was already lifting, but stuck. My progress felt slow, and balancing my Army work schedule with serious training seemed impossible. I was sitting at a 1433 total with a 446 DOTS and didn’t think I had much more in the tank.

Coach Oscar didn’t just hand me a program. He built one around my reality. We adjusted for field time, fatigue, and unpredictable schedules without losing sight of the bigger goal. Ten months later, I hit a 1537 total with a 504 DOTS and walked away with 4 state records.

This coaching wasn’t just numbers on a spreadsheet. It was accountability, structure, and real mentorship that pushed me through every barrier. If you’re serious about lifting no matter your lifestyle, this is the kind of guidance you need.”

3NATIONAL RECORDS

After building a 340 lb increase in competition total through individualized training, Lex went on to set three national records at PLU 2026 Nationals.

Lex’s original story began with a year of progress: a 340 lb improvement in competition total. At PLU 2026 Nationals, that foundation led to three national records, a milestone built on consistent programming, technical adjustments, and belief in the process.

"When I first started working with Coach Oscar, I had no idea how much I was capable of. A year later, I’ve added 340 pounds to my competition total—and it still blows my mind. Oscar didn’t just give me a program; he gave me a plan tailored to my strengths, weaknesses, and goals. Every lift had a purpose, every tweak made me better, and every week I felt myself getting stronger. Beyond the numbers, his belief in me helped build my confidence both on and off the platform. Training under Oscar has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in my powerlifting journey."

Sabrina

5thAT NATIONALS · PROJECTED 13TH

A school teacher who coaches volleyball, cheerleading, and powerlifting, Sabrina found confidence and community through the sport. Projected to finish 13th at Nationals, she fought her way to a fifth-place medal.

As a teacher and coach, Sabrina spends much of her life helping others grow. Through powerlifting, she found something for herself: a sport she loves and a community that gives back just as much as she puts in.

She entered Nationals projected in 13th place. Strategic attempt selection and the resolve to grind through her third attempts helped her climb to fifth place and a medal. That result captures both the work behind the performance and the support she found along the way.
